A common space for members of the community to gather, work, eat, learn, collaborate and celebrate. This brand new campus, within the heart of a revitalized downtown, points toward creating a space that pays tribute to a rich history, particularly in textiles, while accelerating toward a bold and innovative future. Weaving old and new together in one space, this common area beckons a call for revival. Boasting a large and open floorplan, visitors will find soft seating, dining, banquettes, and communal tables – all intentionally designed to encourage impromptu connections and collaborations. A large community conference room will invite like-minded people to come together in an environment that is a celebratory nod to this city’s furniture history. The interior design will include iconic pieces that originated from this very city, paired with custom-designed furniture pieces made locally. The furniture layers against the industrial, factory backdrop to support many modes of work and play. Grouped into vignettes that provide a comfortable space for groups of any size and personality. Unique textiles paired them with many different styles of furniture create an eclectic and curated collection weaving together a narrative that celebrates textiles and furniture: two of the main economic drivers of this city.
