Refined, modern, authentic; words used to describe the clients desired aesthetic to our team. Founded by a female executive with whom we have worked before, we knew this consulting firm desired a unique design solution for their office. We transformed an open, industrial tenant space into a highly versatile, collaborative, and functional office for 10 employees with room for expansion. Complete with conference, break room, private offices and a lounge entrance, our furniture selections made a 1,700 square foot space feel twice its size. Several pieces were selected specifically for their ability to divide space without blocking natural light or sight-lines for the team, imperative in this highly collaborative atmosphere. For example, the entry bookcase created definition of space without completely blocking views. Seated-height panel systems, in a light ash wood veneer, provide each employee their own space and access to power/data without compromising the clients’ refined design aesthetic. A custom wood credenza houses a beverage refrigerator in the back workroom that doubles as a break room space, exhibiting how this office is multi-functional. Each private office desk was tailored to the individuals work style methods as well as personal aesthetic preferences. Challenges included creating a palette that blended existing finishes of the tenant space with the company’s branding and managing installation at a new building with no dock and lots of security. This required another level of detailed coordination to avoid any hiccups on install day.
