The City of High Point decided their office space needed to be as welcoming as the city itself. Our team set out to design a timeless, modern, and traditional space. Our goal was to create an elevated space that made a statement and reflected the growing city, while embracing the challenge of a limited construction and furniture budget. To create such a space, we made small changes that made a big impact. To create privacy, provide sound absorption and create a statement for the lobby that engaged and welcomed guest we installed felt panels that made an impact. To stick to the budget, existing furniture with some re-upholstery was used and we gave a nod to the past with felt artwork panels featuring imagery from the city’s history. The overall project scope also included replacing carpet and painting. We achieved beauty on budget with furniture layout, selections, guided directions for statement graphics and artwork. This updated office is now a welcoming and functional space.
