C Design Office Expansion

Following a major expansion in 2019, the firm continued to experience steady growth over the next five years, ultimately creating the need for another workplace expansion. To accommodate this growth, the project team developed a thoughtful and economical solution that balances functionality with the firm’s culture of creativity.

The design transforms an existing mezzanine—previously non-functional and considered un-leasable—into a highly efficient workspace connected to the main office through a new monumental stair. This strategic move not only maximized the use of underutilized square footage but also created a sense of continuity within the office environment. The expansion provides eight additional workstations, a 30-person training room, a video conferencing room, a small break area, and a relocated 10-person conference room, which allowed for an open collaboration space on the main level.

Economics played a significant role in shaping the project, driving smart, cost-effective design decisions without sacrificing quality or character. Relocating the large conference room to the mezzanine reduced construction costs while reinforcing efficiency, and the overall design emphasizes both practicality and a strong reflection of the firm’s identity. Ultimately, the expansion supports the firm’s long-term growth while showcasing its creative spirit in a resourceful and inspiring way.
