A classic coastal apparel brand founded in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2006 has built its reputation on sharing the spirit of coastal living—honoring tradition while charting its own course. As the company grew, so did its need for a workplace that reflected its brand values and supported its evolving team culture.

The company’s previous headquarters, spread across two floors, created physical and cultural separation among employees, along with high panel workstations that blocked sightlines and limited connections. With a growing team and an increasing demand for functional, brand-aligned workspace, the company recognized the need for a change.

In response, the headquarters was relocated to the historic Borden Building in downtown Greenville—a former Borden Ice Cream factory rich with character and deeply tied to the city’s history. This move not only provided the larger footprint required for future growth but also offered an opportunity to integrate modern workplace functionality with the building’s preserved architectural charm. By choosing the Borden Building, the company was able to reinforce its commitment to community and heritage.

The goal was to create a headquarters that authentically embodies the brand identity—open, inviting, and inspired by the coastal lifestyle—while blending historic architecture with coastal aesthetics to foster an environment where employees can connect, create, and thrive.
